The 2012 Al-Aydarus eruption was the eruption of a long-extinct volcano in Aden, Yemen. The eruption was more or less triggered by the massive Ethiopia quake, which had triggered volcanic activity as far away as Sharat Kovakab in northwestern Syria and the Biu Plateau on the coast of western Nigeria.
