History

Aftermath

The 115 foot-high tsunami impacted the entire Pacific Rim, killing hundreds more when Lanai, Hawaii, was almost entirely inundated by sixty-foot waves and the American cargo ship MV Maersk Alaska was capsized by a forty-foot rogue wave east of California. By this point, the Japanese government had been told of the findings in Tikal, which proved the Earth-crust displacement and rapid tectonic movement theories as irrefutable fact; as such, they began evacuating some its citizens to high, non-volcanic mountains in the center of the country, and had also begun negotiations with the Chinese government for a pair of their Himalyan bunkers.
