MERCURY R1SING is a first-person shooter video game and first major video game based off the continuity of Mercury Rising and The Series. Developed by Valve Corporation, the game was released in North America on November 16, 2005 - nearly two weeks after the final 'special episode' of The Series had aired - and was met with critical acclaim alongside Valve's crown jewel, Half-Life 2.

The player takes control of Simon Lynch - The Series ' main protagonist - and his guardian, FBI Special Agent Art Jeffries, as they fight for their very lives in a web of domestic and international intrigue and murder, where a single misstep can mean certain death.

Synopsis/Game Description

Follow the experiences of young Simon Lynch and his guardian, FBI agent Art Jeffries, as they battle against rogue government and terrorist forces, whose only goals are to either gain access to Simon and his unique abilities or eliminate him at any cost.

Immerse yourself in the world of Mercury Rising – from the high-rise steel jungle of Chicago to decades-old secret bunkers, the wilderness of the eastern United States, high pitched nighttime gun battles, close-quarters combat aboard a speeding train, an air battle over the desert of Nevada, and finally to the mind-bending world that is the mind of Simon Lynch himself. MERCURY R1SING brings the characters of The Series and original motion picture to life with realistic graphics from the visually stunning Source engine, realistic effects, featuring the voice talents from much of the original and expanded cast, including Bruce Willis, Miko Hughes, Chi McBride and Sam Neill, and in-game score composed by the legendary John Barry.
